Nebido Treatment
Hello everybody!
12 years ago I was diagnosed with Kallmann Syndrome in Germany at age of 15. Since that time I’m on regular treatment with hormone replacement therapy. It has started with Testosteron Depot shots every 21st day, which was okay, but left me little flexibility to move or travel around without having a bag full of disposable syringes and needles.
Since winter 2006 I’ve switched to Nebido inra-muscular injections and I’m really happy about that. I get an injection every 14th week. Apart from the relatively low cost (I pay around 30 EUR for 3 insurance subsidized ampoules covering 9 months) I get the opportunity to be more flexible during my business trips, without being afraid that my medicine supply wouldn’t be sufficient.
My testosterone level remains almost constant at the whole period of 14 weeks. Of course right after the injections I do feel a slight over activity (both sexual and mental), and the last couple of days before the next injection I’m rather sleepy and powerless. Compared to the previous therapy this feeling lasts maybe 1 or 2 days longer. But still, my subjective appreciation of the testoron fluctuations is way not that extreme and not that frequent as it was during the Testosteon Depot therapy. To say it more figurative the felt testosterone curve peaks are lower, not that frequent, but wider.
Since some time I have quite high level of kreatinin in my blood, which might be caused by a progressive renal failure. However, the abnormality is very low to be worried about for now and I do not link it with the new medicine.
