Wife seeks information

Hi folks,

I am new to the forum and seeking information in relation to Kallmanns. I am married to a wonderful man for 10 years who has Kallmanns. He was diagnosed in his late teen after extensive testing and some un-necessary surgery.

I have read so much medical jargon and visited so many Doctors in relation to his condition. He is currently on medication which seems to help,(he is growing body and facial hair)

There are a few questions i need to ask other men with K and i hope you dont mind the personal nature of same. We live in a small area in Europe where K seems to be rare and unexplored. But here goes...

My hubbie seems to have some form of OCD(started shortly after treatment began),not sever enough to effect his life, but enough to be noticable. I understand that with the lack of sence of smell, paranoia is inevitable, and i am used to being his nose, but its spilled to eating, cleaning, clothes and each month there is a new area. He can also have irrational outbursts (never physically violent) but over such silly things, but can really loose it....
I sometimes feel that he can cut his emotional tap right off at will and find this quite disturbing.

I dont care about the lack of smell, the micro penis or the boobies...i married him, not his body and love him dearly. I have a son, who introduced us, and he is a wonderful dad. I would love to understand what happens or what is going on inside his head in relation to K. He will talk about everything except how he feels about having K. I would just like to understand and see if the above is due to the K (as he says it is) or just bad behaviour.

I would appreciate some feedback as i dont know any other person with K

J
