Genetics and Inheritance
Work in progress:
Kallmann's syndrome is a genetic disorder. This means it was not "caught" or "aquired" during life like some diseases but it is something that has been present from birth.
Kallmann's syndrome can be passed down through the generations or it can appear as just an isolated case.
The genetics behind the cause and inheritance of KS is not fully understood yet but new discoveries are being made each year.
